Benefits of the 2024 Summer Camps
This is something we wanted to bring to our school-age children for two reasons. The main reason is to get them active and out of the daycare center. Our school age children are the ones that suffer from boredom the most throughout the summer. The summer is also often when our school age children become stagnant in their learning due to lack of daily enrichment in school. And lastly, it is also a time of the year when they might spend too much time forming bad habits and/or engaging in activities that are detrimental to their education and themselves in general. Which leads right to the second reason we wanted to bring this summer camp and that is to continue enriching and educating our children even during a time when they are supposed to be taking a break from learning. We believe children should be learning ALL YEAR LONG. This is why we wanted to partner with coaches with real experience so that this camp can be not just fun but also just as enriching. Our hope is that this might develop a passion in one of our children to continue to pursue these sports outside of this summer camp. We believe that children pursuing sports in their free time will not only keep them out of trouble but will also build habits and discipline that will help them in all walks of life in the future.
2024 Summer Camps Offered at Whitehouse Daycare
Information on the 2024 Summer Camps is as follows:
Basketball Camp:
Partnered with coach Jeff Little, a basketball coach in the Reading School District for over 15+ years, and his staff to bring our children a summer long basketball camp. We started the basketball camp on June 18th and every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM going forward our children will be learning to play the sport and get better at it. The children have loved it so far and could not have any more fun! Thanks so much to Coach Jeff and his staff!
Martial Arts Camp:
Partnered with David Harr and his amazing group of coaches with decades of combined experience under their belt at CFS Academy to teach our children a wide range of martial arts. This camp started July 12th and every Friday going forward from 10 AM to 12 PM our children will be participating in this camp.
So far, the 2024 summer camps have been a blast for all involved and we could not be happier with how this has started. What we look forward to the most is to see how much all our children will have progressed by the end of the summer! We hope to continue to bring these summer camps in the future and hopefully add different coaches from other sports as well. The goal of these summer camps is to get our children active while continuing to enrich and educate them through play but also hopefully develop lifelong passions, habits, and discipline that will continue to aid them throughout the rest of their lives. Maybe we’ll have helped create the next big Reading basketball star or MMA star!
