In January, our second location at 336 S 18th Street location celebrated the amazing STARS achievement of reaching 4 stars! To reach 4 Stars is the highest achievement that a childcare facility in Pennsylvania can earn.

What does it mean to be a 4 Star Facility?

A childcare center in Pennsylvania with a 4-star rating through the state’s Keystone STARS program signifies a high level of quality and commitment to continuous improvement in early learning and development programs. The staff must continually meet the following:

  • High-Quality Standards: Programs with a 4-star rating must meet specific quality standards in key areas such as staff education, learning environment, leadership/management, and family/community partnerships.
  • Continuous Improvement: The Keystone STARS program focuses on continuous quality improvement to ensure that children are in safe, respectful environments where they can learn and thrive every day.
  • Research-Based Practices: The standards for Keystone STARS are guided by research-based practices to enhance outcomes for children, emphasizing that quality early learning programs are fundamental for children’s success.
  • Higher Quality Experiences: As programs move up the STAR levels, they provide even higher quality experiences, benefiting children by offering stimulating activities, individual attention, and a safe environment.

What this means for us…

Our outstanding staff at BOTH facilities for White House Daycare have now met the highest level of childcare standards in Pennsylvania.

What this means for parents…

A 4-star rating informs parents that their children are in a stimulating and nurturing environment that prepares them for school and future success. They can rest assured that their children are in good hands and will be provided with the utmost care that goes above and beyond other daycare centers.

A 4-star rating for a childcare center in Pennsylvania under the Keystone STARS program signifies a strong commitment to providing high-quality early learning experiences that support children’s development and future success in school and life.

Thank you to everyone who came to the celebration, and most of all thank you to our staff!! We could have never done this without you! Special thanks to the Pennsylvania Child Care Association for organizing this fantastic STARS Move Up event, bringing together representatives from PACCA, ELRC, the United Way of Berks County, Senator Judy Schwank, and Representative Mark Rozzi to celebrate our achievement at White House Daycare.
